2 days / 1 night – Private, all-inclusive service
Day 1 – Arica to Putre / Socoroma Trekking
Depart from Arica and travel along Route 11-CH through the Lluta Valley, where ancient geoglyphs mark the old caravan trails that once connected the coast and the highlands.
Visit Quebrada de Cardones Natural Monument, famous for its giant candelabra cacti, before reaching Socoroma, a picturesque Aymara village surrounded by terraces and traditional architecture.
Enjoy a 3.5-hour hike along part of the Qhapaq Ñan (Inca Trail), then continue to Putre for dinner and overnight stay.
Included: Lunch, dinner, private transport, guide, accommodation in Putre.
Day 2 – Lauca National Park / Cotacotani Lagoons / Chungará Lake
After breakfast, head towards Lauca National Park (4,500 m a.s.l.), part of the Lauca Biosphere Reserve, an impressive ecosystem of highland landscapes and wildlife.
Begin a scenic trek around the Cotacotani Lagoons, surrounded by the twin volcanoes Parinacota and Pomerape. Spot vizcachas and Andean birds while enjoying panoramic views of this pristine environment.
Visit the Chungará Lake, one of the highest in the world, and enjoy a picnic lunch before returning to Arica in the evening.
